Introducing
Najwa Zebian
Najwa Zebian is a Lebanese-Canadian author, poet, and speaker widely known for her work helping readers navigate healing, self-worth, and emotional resilience. Born in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon, she moved to Ontario, Canada, at sixteen amid the 2006 Lebanon War, an experience of displacement that shaped her lifelong exploration of what it means to find home. After becoming a high school teacher and earning a doctorate in educational leadership, she began writing poetry to help her students, many of them young refugees, process trauma and found that the process helped heal her own past as well. She rose to wide acclaim after self-publishing her debut poetry collection Mind Platter in 2016, followed by works including The Nectar of Pain, Welcome Home, and The Only Constant, books that have collectively sold hundreds of thousands of copies and been embraced by readers worldwide, some of whom have had her words tattooed on their skin. Also the host of the podcast Beyond Words and founder of the digital learning platform Soul Academy, she has extended her reach well beyond her books into speaking and education on healing and emotional wellbeing. Known for her intimate, deeply personal voice and unflinching exploration of pain, healing, and self-discovery, Zebian's work continues to shape modern healing-focused writing and inspire readers across the world.
